The R3G Standard

The R3G Standard

The equation for AI-era reputation and growth.

R³ = G.

The R3G Standard rests on a single equation: Relevance times Reputation, raised to the power of Reach, equals Growth.

Growth measured not only by its rate but by its resilience and its influence.

The equation

The extended form.

(R × R)^R(d², c²) = G(r, i)

R × R
Relevance × Reputation
^R
Reach — the exponent on the base. Produced by POET.
Discoverability × Distinctiveness — distinctive discoverability. POET’s domain.
Consistency × Credibility — how coherently, and how provably, what is carried holds up when it arrives. P3’s domain.
G
the composite Growth outcome
(r, i)
Growth, defined by its resilience and its influence

Relevance times reputation, raised to the power of reach — discoverable, distinctive, consistent and credible — produces growth defined by its resilience and its influence.

The outcome

Growth is not one thing.

Earlier reputation frameworks measure a state. R3 measures the growth a company earns, and distinguishes the kind of growth from the rate.

A company can grow revenue rapidly while its growth is fragile (low resilience) and consequential to no one (low influence). Another company can grow more slowly but with growth that is durable across shocks (high resilience) and category-shaping (high influence). These are not the same phenomenon, even when the top-line numbers are similar.

Resilience and Influence

Resilience.

Resilience is the stability of a company's growth trajectory. It is measured through:

  • Volatility of growth over time
  • Drawdown severity and recovery time after category shocks
  • Share defense during category-wide crises
  • Continuity of growth across leadership transitions and strategic shifts

Influence.

Influence is the consequence of a company's growth. It is measured through:

  • Frequency and depth of industry citations of the company's strategic moves
  • Competitor imitation lag — how quickly peers follow the company's positioning
  • Policy and regulatory engagement — how often the company is consulted or referenced in agenda-setting
  • Analyst and expert framing — the degree to which the company is treated as a category-shaper
Methodology

Behind the equation.

The R3G Standard is computed from the R3 Framework. Full technical methodology is available on the Methodology page.
